ABOUT RAVEN BAXTER, PH.D.

Dr. Raven Baxter, fondly known as Dr. Raven the Science Maven, is a celebrated molecular biologist and science educator with a unique mission - to decode the complexities of science and make it not only engaging but also relatable through her thoughtfully designed educational content.

An alumna of the University at Buffalo and Buffalo State College, Dr. Raven holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Molecular Biology, complemented by a Ph.D. in Science Education. Her deep-rooted knowledge of biology and expertise in science education enable her to transform complex scientific theories into understandable and intriguing narratives.

Beyond academia, Dr. Raven has gained valuable experience in the field of high-throughput drug discovery, bringing her unique expertise and perspective to this important area. As a consultant, she aids science companies in identifying their unique voice and facilitates effective communication between scientists and the broader public.

In her ongoing commitment to making science accessible, Dr. Raven serves as the Executive Director at The Science Haven, a nonprofit organization focused on sparking curiosity and reinterpreting science into engaging experiences for everyone, regardless of their scientific knowledge or background.

Dr. Raven's innovative approach and steadfast dedication have garnered her numerous prestigious recognitions, including Forbes 30 Under 30, Fortune 40 Under 40 in Health, EBONY Power 100, and the Asteroid Award for Diversity and Inclusion in Science Communication.
